Spring is definitely here.
After the long winter term draws to an end, the days are lengthening and the blossom and daffodils are out and I am sure we are all looking forward to the coming break.

As I have travelled around the school this term it has been great to meet many of our students. I particularly enjoyed going to our classroom at the Mirror Day Programme in Waitati. The students were preparing for a visit to Orokonui Ecosanctuary, by completing some research at the local Library.

Students everywhere have been working diligently, with NCEA students completing assessments and some working towards external examinations. I wish you all the best for your preparations.

We held a very successful Canterbury Community Meeting in Christchurch. Representatives from schools, health professionals and related services as well as students and their families from Ashburton to Rangiora attended. The highlight was four students who spoke sharing their journey with SRHS and what it has meant for them. There is no better way to understand our school than to hear it from our students. Thank you to Hannah, Bridgette, Jordan and Aimee-Chantelle.

Many thanks to staff, students and families for your efforts during the term. Have a wonderful break and I wish you well for Term 4.
